Job DescriptionJob Description

Our client is a real estate firm. They seek a temp to perm Recertification Specialist to join their Queens, NY office.

Responsibilities

  • Gather information pertinent to income certifications from the tenants
  • Process tenant information to generate annual recertifications
  • Liaise with tenants and property managers to ensure the submission of information
  • Verify income information received from the tenants as per the program regulations
  • Upon completion of the recertification, secure tenants signatures
  • Assess and maintain the tenant’s files according to the program requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of recertification experience
  • Knowledge of Section 8, Low-Income Housing Tax Credit, and HOME programs
  • Excellent people skills, customer service oriented
  • Highly organized with keen attention to details
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bi-lingual English and Spanish is a plus
  • Skilled in Word, Excel, and Yardi
