Job DescriptionJob Description

Busy Internal Medicine practice is looking to hire a reliable full-time Medical Assistant or PCT with excellent organizational and administrative skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
  • Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
  • Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures
  • Recording patients' vital signs, documenting physicians' notes and changes in medical conditions
  • Prepping exam rooms for clinical procedures and assisting practitioners with patient care
  • Assisting physicians during routine checkups, outpatient procedures and other physical exams
  • Monitoring and documenting patient symptoms for physicians' review during clinical exams
  • Providing compassionate patient support and care, attention and assistance during office visits
  • Preparing and administering medications under the direction of supervising physicians
  • Restock & manage Inventory
  • COVID-19 Swab testing and Vaccinations
  • Perform PFT, EKG's, and Allergy testing

​Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields
  • Familiarity with medical billing procedures
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Committed to accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Empathy and compassion to give support to patients
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Customer service skills and telephone etiquette
  • Familiarity with medical terms and technology
  • Understanding of law and ethics pertaining to medical practices
  • Strong computer and data entry

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday & Friday: 7a-3p
  • Tuesday & Thursday: 10a-8p
  • Wednesday & Saturday (alternating) 9a-1p

Experience:

  • medical assistant: 1-2 years (Preferred)
  • PCT: 1-2 years (preferred)

License/Certification:

  • CMA/RMA or PCT certification (Required)
