Summary:

The Behavioral Health Clinical Manager is responsible for the overall administrative, clinical and fiscal functioning of the Clinic. The Manager monitors the quality of services provided as well as the productivity and efficiency of the department. As a member of the agency Management Team, the Manager contributes to the agency’s strategic planning. The Manager participates in program development, implementation, and evaluation, and also in reviewing potential lines of new services. The Manager assists in developing and submitting formal proposals, as needed. He or she collaborates with community agencies, funding sources, customers, and monitoring agencies, and markets the agency’s services, as appropriate.

Essential Functions:

  • Supervise department clinical coordinators who oversee 5-10 staff.
  • Routinely audits and assesses for service deficiencies and intervenes as necessary.
  • Ensures department is meeting productivity and contract deliverables.
  • Conducts regular meetings with staff and coordinators.
  • Attends outside meetings as requested by the Director
  • Assists with the interview and selection process of prospective employees for clinical and non-clinical positions.
  • Collaborates with the Administrative Manager to develop and present weekly/monthly reports in relation to referrals, census, admissions and discharges.
  • Has extensive knowledge of and adheres to AZ Facility Licensure requirements regarding intake and admission to services.
  • Assists the agency Director in marketing agency programs and maintains positive relationships with referral sources to maintain a continual flow of referrals.
  • Ensures appropriate reports are submitted to referral sources as required by contract.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Masters degree in human services or related field.
  • Must possess a current professional license issued by the AZ BBHE. Associate licensed professionals may be considered if independent license can be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Experience with working with youth and youth trauma.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Must have at least 2 years managerial experience in a behavioral health or child welfare setting.
  • Must be proficient with computer software programs that can establish reports.
  • Must be able to establish, analyze and use program data to guide department decision making.
  • Fingerprint clearance, CPR, clean MVD record and background check required.
