JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Swing Shift Supervisor
Department: Plant Management
Reports To: Plant Manager
SUMMARY:
Oversee the planning, organization and production for the shipping, receiving, incising and treating departments. Ensure that material is produced and shipped efficiently, on time, within budget and to standard.
EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS:
This is a high visibility role functioning as the “right-hand” lead of the Plant Manager and offers great career advancement potential.
• Model good safety habits and follow all company policies in regard to safety and environmental compliance.
• Ensure the treating and incising departments are running efficiently and are producing quality products.
• Follow production planning schedules and make sure product is available to fill customer needs.
• Inspect products and packages and make sure quality is up to company expectations.
• Work within company inventory information system to unsure inventory data accurate.
• Maintain production reports and other reporting metrics.
• Oversee maintenance of machinery and equipment. Make sure spare parts inventory is up to date for maintenance team and order parts as needed.
• Participate as part of a team with other locations to benchmark best practices in safety, manufacturing, and other areas of the business.
• Monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management or Business or significant experience with increasing levels of responsibility leading manufacturing teams in all aspects of production.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Lumber experience a plus.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish or Filipino a plus.
