Estimator - Museum Exhibits

General Job Description:

The Estimator will use their personal and professional experience to create thorough and accurate estimates for Museum, tradeshow and corporate environment exhibit fabrication. The estimator will also be responsible for researching sub-contractors, price negotiation with sub-contractors, and obtaining estimates from vendors on goods and services. Additionally, you will estimate travel, lodging, per diem, rental equipment and vehicles for delivery and travel associated with a project.

Skills and Knowledge:

 

• 5-10 years estimation experience required.
• Ability to read construction/mechanical drawings.
• Must have detailing/drafting skills.
• Experience in general construction, cabinetry and finishing,
• Familiar with graphic production methods, in all mediums
• Knowledge of Electrical, lighting, and Audio-visual systems a plus.
• Knowledge of loading, shipping, delivery, and installation of finished exhibits
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills a must.
• Must be able to meet strict deadlines, and problem solve with innovative ideas.
• Microsoft Office and project management Gantt chart knowledge a plus
