Source One is a consulting services company and we’re currently looking for the following individual to work as a consultant to our direct client, a global medical device company in Fort Worth, TX.
Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (Contract)
Pay Rate: $50/hr (W-2)
Responsibilities:
- Designs components, or portions of a functional system, or prototype, or specific products for medical device/science/technology
- Applies intermediate level principles of engineering analysis, blend technical knowledge and manufacturing practices in providing solutions to problems arising within the department pertaining to the assigned projects
- Writes test protocols and execute prototype test execution for components and devices
- Creates and/or manages the generation of detailed product drawings
- Designs test fixtures/systems, author protocols, and execute Gauge R&Rs/validation for design verification testing
Requirements:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering + 5 years’ experience
- M.S. in Mechanical Engineering + 3 years’ experience
- At least 1 - 2 years’ experience in medical device industry preferred (Class II/III a preferred)
- Proficient in Creo/Solidworks/other CAD packages (Creo proficiency preferred)
- Experience with injection molded component design and/or machined component design
- Experience with fixture/test systems design, test method development, test method validation for design verification testing
- Experience with design of small assemblies and tolerance analysis is a plus
