We have a unique opportunity for a Lab Tech & Consumer Panel Operator to work onsite at a large South Boston consumer products company. This integral role will work in support of the Onsite Lab Supervisor and be responsible for the daily operations and administration of a trained group of male & female product testers. He/She will prepare the lab for the panel, by administering guidelines, weighing/measuring product, distributing materials, recording and tracking of information, and post-panel cleanup of the lab and testing facilities. This is a key position that requires meticulous attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills. Any experience in a lab, consumer product study or Scientific field would be helpful, but is not required.

Hours: 5:30am - 2:00pm Monday-Friday

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Administering materials for sensory panel testing.
  2. Prepare labs for studies.
  3. Prepare (scribe/label/prep kits) shaving products for sensory testing.
  4. Print out test materials when needed.
  5. Collect test kits from panelists and organize printed testing materials when completed.
  6. Enter sensory data into Excel or company database.
  7. Transcribe panelist/consumer comments when needed.
  8. Weigh and measure test products.
  9. Analyze Data.
  10. Follow lab standard practices and perform housekeeping of lab areas.
  11. Interact with male and female panelists, answer questions and provide direction when needed.
  12. Assist in maintaining attendance records

  2. Keen attention to detail and the ability to follow specific instructions and SOPs.
  3. Solid computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook & Excel) and the ability to learn new platforms as needed.
  4. Strong analytical skills.
  5. Good communication and organizational skills are a must.
  6. Ability to act and make decisions while balancing changing priorities.
  7. Knowledge of GLPs and/or prior experience working in a lab setting is desirable.
  8. Must be physically capable of being on your feet for long periods of time, bending, stooping, sitting, reaching, typing, lifting, walking, standing, etc.

This is a full time long-term (no end date) contract position, working for GPA onsite at our South Boston client, and offers a competitive hourly pay rate and benefits that included: medical insurance, dental & vision options, paid holidays, PTO accrual, paid sick time and 401k.
