The Driver/Installation Technician, under the direction of the President and/or Shop Supervisor, will perform various duties and is expected to work effectively as a team member.

Essential Functions:

  1. Hold a valid CDL driver's license or be actively pursuing CDL licensure in Wisconsin.
  2. Demonstrate the ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical/analytical calculations to complete required paperwork and records.
  3. Have proficient use of senses such as speech, hearing, and vision (including color distinction) to perform daily job tasks.
  4. Regularly lift up to 100 pounds.
  5. Stand for up to 8 hours per day.
  6. Read and interpret a scale ruler.
  7. Accurately use a tape measure.
  8. Understand and interpret blueprints.
  9. Possess working knowledge of hand tools necessary for daily job functions.

Knowledge Requirements:

  1. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Be familiar with and comply with OSHA requirements (e.g., use of a safety harness, safety programs, lockout/tagout procedures, CDL driving requirements).
  3. Have knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations.
  4. Understand DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection and maintenance, and proper handling and transportation of hazardous materials.

Salary and Schedule:

  • This is a FLSA non-exempt position, working 40-45 hours per week on the first shift.
  • Some Saturday overtime is required during periods of heavy workload.
  • Hourly pay rate: $22 - $24, based on experience and knowledge of the duties and driving requirements.
  • Overtime is paid after 40 hours of worked time.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a variety of temperatures and be exposed to extreme weather conditions, dust, loud noise, vibration levels, chemicals, and other potential health hazards.
  • Work on uneven terrain, at heights, and in changing atmospheric conditions.
  • Drivers may face irregular work schedules and navigate crowded streets and highways in all weather conditions.
  • Use of a respirator may be required for some tasks.
  • This job involves pushing, pulling, lifting, climbing, walking, standing, kneeling, sitting, and reaching.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided for all necessary tasks.
