Position Overview:
The Assistant Manager at The Cauldron NYC is a pivotal role, designed for someone with a deep passion for hospitality and the creation of magical customer experiences. This position involves a hands-on approach and comprehensive responsibilities in managing our dynamic venue. Together with the General Manager, the Assistant Manager will ensure the smooth operation of the venue, uphold our enchanting atmosphere, and lead our team to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Collaborate closely with the General Manager in overseeing venue operations. This includes responsibility for opening and closing shifts, ensuring each process is executed to the highest standards.
  • Financial Management: Play an integral role in managing weekly payroll, staff scheduling, and rota to optimize operational efficiency and financial health. This involves meticulous planning and coordination to meet the venue's needs and financial objectives.
  • Team Management and Development: Lead by example, inspiring a culture of excellence within the team. Responsibilities encompass hiring, training, and managing staff, with a keen focus on fostering a supportive and productive work environment.
  • Service Excellence: Uphold exceptional service standards and maintain the magical atmosphere that defines The Cauldron. Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are provided with responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all restaurant policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring compliance and excellence in all aspects of venue operation.
  • Address and resolve operational challenges, including handling customer complaints and feedback, to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations relating to health, safety, and labor requirements.

Note: The Assistant Manager's role is multifaceted, and while the above responsibilities are key, the role is not limited to these tasks. Flexibility and adaptability are crucial, as additional duties may be required to meet the evolving needs of the restaurant.
