**MUST LIVE IN THE PHOENIX, AZ AREA**
We are looking to hire a Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting team in our Chandler, AZ, office. This role is M-F 7-4 or 8-5 (we are flexible) and is 100% in the office. We are growing and looking for our next team player. The primary responsibility of the Staff Accountant is to assist with journal entries, bank reconciliations, month-end close, invoice review, and special projects as needed. The ideal candidate should be a team player, creative, able to express new ideas with the team, and knowledgeable of the 340B Drug Pricing Program is a HUGE plus but not required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Prepares and completes general ledger entries.
  • Supports the daily activities of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) as needed.
  • Assist with internal and external financial audit processes and ensure that financial controls and policies are followed.
  • Assist with vendor applications, set-up, and maintenance.
  • Reviews and audits monthly corporate credit card expense reports.
  • Maintains the fixed asset records and monthly depreciation entries.
  • Occasionally, backup cash application specialists post customer payments and lockbox activity.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
  • MUST have at least 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience
  • Knowledge of the 340B Drug Pricing Program is a HUGE PLUS
  • Healthcare and/or Pharmacy accounting experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of general financial accounting, fixed assets, and cost accounting.
  • Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Must know MS Excel and can work with spreadsheets.
  • Proficiency with similar accounting software (QBO preferred).
