Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Licensed Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in agricultural electrical systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment in agricultural facilities throughout the Midwest region. This position requires extensive travel and a flexible schedule to accommodate project requirements.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in agricultural facilities, including grain elevators, processing plants, and farms.
  • Perform inspections, troubleshooting, and diagnostic testing on electrical systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to develop and implement electrical solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Always adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Provide training and guidance to apprentice electricians as needed.
  • Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
  • Stay current with advancements in electrical technology and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Industrial Journeyman Electrician license in the Midwest region.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a journeyman electrician, with a focus on industrial and agricultural electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Experience with PLCs, motor controls, variable frequency drives, and other industrial automation systems preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours as needed.
