Job Title: Field Service Electrician

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Electrician to join our team at American Equipment Holdings. As a Field Service Electrician, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and repair electrical wiring on 3-phase motor control circuits.
  • Install conduit, fittings, and enclosures to house electrical wires and components.
  • Ensure all electrical components and craftsmanship adhere to NEC and all other applicable codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Install and/or replace circuit breakers, contactors, relays, and other electrical components and associated wiring.
  • Connect electrical systems to existing power distribution panels and disconnects.
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
  • Inspect electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
Requirements:
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Extensive knowledge of 3-phase motor control systems, electrical systems, and wiring.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship and valid electrician's license required.
Work Environment:
  • Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
  • Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
  • Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
  • Tolerance to work at heights.
  • Tolerance to work in high heat environments at times.
