Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition Overview:The Director of Partner Relations and Outreach will play a pivotal role in providing strategic leadership to enhance the capacity and reach of IDA's branches, global partnerships and other initiatives. This position will focus on fostering community engagement and advancing the mission of IDA through collaborative efforts with branches and partners worldwide.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to IDA branches, global partners, and community organizations aligned with IDA's mission and vision.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to facilitate the growth and expansion of IDA branches and partnerships.
  • Oversee operational activities of the Field Services/Outreach department.
  • Initiate and manage fund development and awareness campaigns in collaboration with branches and partners.
  • Collaborate with key departments and committees on budgeting, grassroots initiatives, and strategic planning.
  • Supervise department related coordinator(s) and provide leadership to the team.
  • Utilize online platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube) to oversee and enhance branch visibility and engagement.
  • Support IDA branches and global partners, Officers, Executive Board Members, and Regional representatives in building relationships and serving their communities effectively.
  • Assist in implementing IDA's mission-focused initiatives at the local and global levels.
  • Disseminate best practices and innovative ideas to support all branches.
  • Manage efforts to develop branch and global partner programs and ensure alignment with IDA's vision and goals. Components include; leadership development, membership growth, relationship growth with community, branch fundraising goals and activities, branch excellence awards, strategic planning, accountability, and compliance, training sessions, branch nominating committee activities, bylaw reviews and updates. 
  • Other relevant duties as assigned and aligned with the vision of organizational leadership.

Experience, Skills and Additional Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in social services, education, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible professional experience.
  • Experience with community-based organizations or chapter development.
  • Commitment to and understanding of issues affecting the dyslexia community (desired but not required).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities within teams and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in managing web content and social media platforms.
  • Attention to detail and a background in customer service.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Non-profit experience preferred.
