Job DescriptionJob Description

We are ATOMS Placement Services, a boutique recruiting agency specializing in the placement of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) educators in independent schools. We are looking for a Junior Recruiter with a “can do” attitude to join the ATOMS team in our Playa Vista office.

Responsibilities:

  • Screen application forms and resumes, and make recommendations as to whether applicants should advance to the interview phase of the application process.
  • Interview applicants (by phone, Skype, FaceTime, or Zoom) and make recommendations as to whether they should be approved as ATOMS candidates.
  • Monitor the various phases of the candidate application process by updating internal company spreadsheets.
  • Create online company accounts for all applicants approved as ATOMS candidates and upload their resumes and transcripts.
  • Follow up with candidates to ensure they provide all of the materials required for their ATOMS candidate portfolio (to the standard required by the company).
  • Prepare and update candidate portfolios.
  • Review and finalize candidate portfolios before they are submitted to client schools by Director of School Services.
  • Follow up with candidates to keep up-to-date regarding their interviews with schools.
  • Monitor candidate interview activity by updating internal company spreadsheets.
  • Cultivate strong and supportive relationships with candidates.
  • Utilize resources including social media, networking, referrals, and recruiting events to maximize candidate sourcing efforts.
  • Develop advertising programs/strategies to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.
  • Perform other duties as required by the company.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Professional attitude, enthusiastic, and reliable
  • Excellent written/oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Possess excellent time management skills
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to see a broader view of the recruitment process, while still able to focus on the day-to-day details
  • Ability to self-motivate and work independently
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
  • Possess a sense of humor and like to have fun

Education & Experience:

  • 4-year degree from an accredited college or university
  • 1–3 years of staffing/recruiting experience, with the ability to recruit for all levels of an organization, from entry level to senior level (preference for agency or corporate recruitment background)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (including Word and Excel) and social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
  • Experience with Box cloud interface is a plus
  • Familiarity/work experience with independent schools is a plus
