Job Purpose:

As a Class B Box Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in our logistics and transportation team. Your primary responsibility will be to operate a Class B box truck to transport goods, ensuring timely and safe deliveries to our clients. You will be responsible for loading and unloading cargo, conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and maintaining accurate delivery records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a Class B box truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations.
  • Follow traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe and efficient delivery.
  • Load and unload cargo from the box truck, ensuring that it is secured properly.
  • Verify the accuracy of shipments and inspect goods for any damage.
  • Plan and organize delivery routes to optimize efficiency and meet delivery schedules.
  • Use navigation systems or maps to find the most efficient routes.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts, delivery confirmations, and any other required documentation.
  • Communicate with dispatch or supervisors to provide updates on delivery status.
  • Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the box truck.
  • Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner during deliveries.
  • Address any customer inquiries or concerns related to the delivery.
  • Follow safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Use proper lifting techniques and equipment to handle heavy or bulky items.
