Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused driver to join our team at Daniels Health. As a Non CDL Driver, you will be responsible for collecting and delivering medical waste containers to our healthcare customer locations in the Westland, MI area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely collect, deliver, and store medical waste containers at customer locations
  • Provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with our healthcare customers
  • Operate a 26-foot box truck in a safe and efficient manner
  • Complete deliveries on time and communicate any changes or challenges to our team
  • Load and unload medical waste containers, prioritizing and organizing your truck according to schedule and needs
  • Manage your route effectively, delivering timely and efficient service to our customers
  • Comply with DOT regulations, logging hours and participating in roadside inspections
  • Perform heavy lifting as required
Requirements
  • Chauffeur's License Required
  • Previous delivery experience, particularly in industries involving manual handling (advantageous but not mandatory)
  • Willingness to work full-time hours, approximately 40 hours per week
  • Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
  • Clean driving record
  • A flexible and can-do attitude, with a strong focus on customer service
  • Experience operating large vehicles, such as 26-foot box trucks
  • Knowledge of DOT compliance, logging hours, and roadside inspections
  • Confidence in handling road checks, levels 1-3
  • Proven longevity in previous employment
  • On-time delivery practices
