Overview

We are seeking a skilled Technical Proposal Writer with extensive experience in crafting compelling technical proposals for both the public sector (state and federal) and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of technical concepts, exceptional writing abilities, and a proven track record of winning proposals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proposal Development: Lead the development of technical proposals, including writing, editing, and formatting documents to meet client requirements and deadlines.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research to understand client needs, project specifications, and industry trends to create tailored proposals that address specific requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure alignment on proposal strategies.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all proposals comply with client guidelines, regulations, and standards while maintaining high-quality writing and presentation.
  • Review and Revise: Participate in proposal reviews and incorporate feedback to enhance the clarity, effectiveness, and competitiveness of proposals.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain organized records of proposal submissions, templates, and best practices to streamline future proposal efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Communications, English, Engineering, or Business).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technical proposal writing, with a focus on both public sector (state and federal) and commercial proposals.
  • Strong understanding of government contracting processes, compliance requirements, and proposal evaluation criteria.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and persuasively.
  • Proficiency in proposal management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in specific industries such as IT, engineering, healthcare, or construction is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
