The Project Manager will work in the Construction, Repair and Maintenance company of ISI. The Project Manager is responsible for the management and delivery of multiple complex infrastructure projects from award to completion by identifying and refining project scopes, setting the schedule, allocating resources and providing technical support to a team of professional staff members. The PM is expected to become the subject matter expert on all aspects of the project, and to supervise the project lifecycle throughout its various stages to achieve a successful project delivery. The PM is also expected to manage the project scope, cost, schedule, and mitigate risks and ensure every team member contributes to the project delivery process. The Project Managers are solely responsible for the accuracy and updating of project schedules, project monthly reports, and profitability. PM’s are responsible for communication with all appropriate project stakeholders, team members, and leadership, ensuring that quality deliverables and milestones are met on time and within budget, and for coordinating with other Project Managers on other company projects.

 

Responsibilities:

  •  Oversees planning and execution of projects
  • Monitors alternative and risk analyses and cost estimation
  • Ensures safety assessments are preformed and safety compliance standards are being met and maintainedManages and is responsible for project scope, cost, and schedule from award of project to construction completion and ensures project delivery is on-time and within budget and maintaining of contractual agreements
  • Provides direction and management of the day-to-day operational activities for all team members including overseeing self-performance work crews, and subcontractors to keep all activities on track and moving forward, including coordination and communication with all relevant parties
  •  Ensure the accuracy and updating of project schedules and project monthly report
  • Develops and implements strategies in partnership with project team to ensure projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and minimizing risks to project delivery while maximizing profit

Skills Needed:

  • Considerable knowledge and understanding of civil transportation infrastructure roadway/bridge/drainage construction standards and practices
  • Proficient skills using project management tools and systems, including but not limited to scheduling software, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office 365, Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
  • Familiar with roadway design and CADD software applications and processes
  • Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers, the public, industry, and governmental representatives both verbally and in writing
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide others, build effective and cohesive teams toward the accomplishment of project and division goals
  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, coordinate, train, support, assign, and evaluate the work of subordinate managers and handle confidential materials with considerable personal tact and initiative

Experience:

  • Must Have at least 2 years of demonstrated experience in aspects of Civil Construction in a unit price contracting environment

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or similar curriculum from ABET accredited college or university
  • Project Management certification(s) such as CAPM, PMP, PgMP, or other related project management certifications
