Job DescriptionJob Description

Qualifications:

Degree in Behavioral Health or related field preferred. CADC or LPC preferred; plus one year of experience in Behavioral Health or Chemical Dependency programs. Must have thorough knowledge of the disease of alcoholism/addiction and its application to client care. A good working knowledge of evidence based treatment practices for Substance Use Disorders and Mental Health conditions is important. Person must be in recovery from Substance Use Disorder or Mental Health condition. Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) a plus. Person must be willing to travel, using of company vehicle to meet with the client, which may include their home etc. Recovery Coach Certification is preferred. Must have valid driver’s license and minimal auto insurance.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Good organization skills, ability to use logical thinking to solve problems. Good short-term memory, verbal communication skills, ability to provide and follow effectively written and verbal instructions. Ability to effectively monitor and develop subordinates when applicable. Ability to successfully complete training and perform C.P.R. Ability to perform light physical work exerting up to ten (10) pounds of force on an occasional basis. Good driving record and driving skills required. Sitting, standing, walking short distances are activities that the Clinical Specialist must perform.

Description:

Under the immediate supervision of the Director of Outpatient Services the Clinical Specialist provides clinical direction and answers questions from community members and/or clients generated as a result of website inquires related to OUD. An integral responsibility of the Clinical Specialist is to direct clients to appropriate recovery resources. In addition, the Clinical Specialist provides practical direction to the Recovery Coaches by conducting a regular Recovery Coach Meeting that reviews the client challenges, the need for program modification, and keeps the Recovery Coaches focused on their primary responsibilities. The Clinical Specialist also provides typical recovery support services and carries a caseload as needed.
