Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Clerk

 

Days/Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team at the BASF Chemicals Facility. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by managing the sending, receiving, and recording of raw materials and finished goods in DOT-approved packages.

 

Key Responsibilities:


  • Shipping & Receiving: Handle the shipping and receiving of materials, maintaining accurate inventories.
  • Loading & Unloading: Load and unload packaged materials to and from box trailers.
  • Material Flow Monitoring: Monitor and control material flows in and out of the facility.
  • Staging Raw Materials: Stage raw materials for consumption.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Follow standard operating procedures for all tasks.
  • Shipment Preparation:Prepare items for shipment, including labeling, stenciling, and manifest shipping.
  • Large Shipments: Prepare large shipments by capping, banding, sealing, and staging them.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate hand trucks and warehouse equipment (PIV).
  • Documentation Filing: Handle inbound and outbound documentation filing.
  • Inventory Maintenance: Maintain physical inventories of materials and products.
  • SAP Entries: Create SAP inventory entries, including labeling and storage locations.
  • Cycle Counts: Perform cycle counts of materials.
  • Safety and Housekeeping: Maintain a high level of safety and housekeeping without supervision.
  • Support Special Projects: Assist the Supply Chain Planner with special projects and process evaluations as directed.

     

Qualifications:


  • Must possess strong analytical skills.
  • Physically fit to operate manual equipment and lift up to 30 kg (60 lbs).
  • Ability to drive fork trucks and hand trucks.
  • Proficient in MS Excel for data processing.
  • Experience with SAP is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a chemical plant is desired.

     

Additional Requirements:


  • Steel-toed shoes are required.
