Summary of Job:
The Electrician role will execute either independently or with a team member all functions of the job including but not limited to residential new construction and remodels, troubleshooting preexisting electrical, and retro installations. This position will focus primarily on service related customer facing duties, as well as diagnostics and repair ranging in size. As necessary, this position may also perform rough-ins and trim-out of new construction.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Electrical:
- Possess excellent problem-solving skills that will result in the diagnosis and repair of both simple and complex issues.
- Performs wire and cable pulls. Prewire electrical panels for new construction and remodels. Complete the trim out of switches, outlets, chandeliers, and recessed lighting.
- Read and execute electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Install and wire new panels, adding new circuits, wiring up 3-way switches, and determining wire/load calculations.
- Execute on assigned work orders and maintain work logs.
- Ensure high quality control with all facets of the job, ensuring we exceed customer expectations.
- Work alongside of and follow instruction/direction from in-house field electricians.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and while maintaining adherence to project deadlines.
- Ability to provide an exemplary customer service experience and positive attitude.
- Interact with customers and other employees in a professional manner.
- Use a variety of tools and techniques to complete electrical task.
- Maintains and cleans all company tools and equipment and jobsite.
- Portray a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Excellent organizational ability and attention to detail.
- Must be able to handle stress and job demands.
- Maintains compliance with all OSHA and company specific safety requirements and policies.
- All other duties as assigned.
The Ideal candidate has:
- At least 3-5 years prior experience working in a residential electrical environment with a primary emphasis on diagnosing and solving electrical issues.
- A valid Driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Has an electrical license or a strong desire to obtain their license.
- A strong work ethic ensuring the job gets done timely and well.
- Ability to work in a fast past environment.
- High school education.
- Completed an OSHA 10-hour course (preferred).
