Griffin & VanPelt, P.A., a small Clearwater law firm specializing in Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Administration has an immediate opening for a paralegal with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.  Preference will be given to a Florida registered paralegal.  Office hours are 8:30am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.  Salary is based on applicant’s experience.  Please submit resume to jennie@lawyergriffin.com.

Requirements

  1. Have a positive attitude and excel in a team environment. 
  2. ·Have a working understanding of Florida statutes and probate code.
  3. ·Proficiency with the Florida e-filing process.
  4. ·Proficiency in drafting estate planning documents.
  5. ·Routinely calendars reminders and meets deadlines.
  6. ·Highly detail oriented, organized and able to prioritize duties.
  7. ·Ability to work with a high level of accuracy, especially with computations.
  8. Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  9. Experience in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  10.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, document management software and the ability to learn new software.  
  11. Willing to attend CLE and events to maintain educational requirements.
