Job DescriptionJob Description

Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Shop Mechanic with at least 1-3 years of experience who will perform basic mechanic skills on heavy equipment utilized for construction projects.

 

Essential Duties:

· Performs basic mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and troubleshooting of construction equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, skid loaders, etc.

· Responsible for basic repairs and preventative maintenance on all equipment and company vehicles to ensure functionality and safety.

· Maintain an orderly and clean work area, assist in keeping the entire shop area clean and orderly, dispose of trash as needed.

· Identify and repair facility issues. Perform minor repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building and grounds maintenance as needed.

· Other warehouse duties as needed such as shipping and receiving, operating a forklift for loading and unloading material in the shop and on the yard.

· Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, consistently monitor own work to ensure quality.

 

 

Requirements/Skills:

· Minimum 1 year of mechanic experience, 3+ years is preferred

· Must have good mechanical skills

· Must be organized and pay attention to detail

· Strong time management skills

· Heavy equipment experience is a plus

· Must be able to read, write, understand, and follow procedures and guidelines

· Ability to review, analyze, and interpret information; identify problems; and make decisions

· Must be a hard worker and dependable

· Must have knowledge of and experience performing vehicle inspections, tire rotations, oil changes

 

 

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.

· Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
