We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and maintaining efficient front desk operations in a medical office setting.

Responsibilities:

Patient Interaction:
Greet patients warmly, answer phone calls, and respond to inquiries professionally and courteously.
Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar for healthcare providers.
Verify and update patient information, ensuring accuracy in electronic health records.
Front Desk Operations:
Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and other communications.
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
Insurance Verification:
Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-payments or payments at the time of service.
Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries.
Administrative Support:
Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and other office-related duties.
Coordinate with other administrative and clinical staff to facilitate efficient office operations.
Confidentiality and Compliance:

Adhere to patient confidentiality guidelines and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Stay informed about relevant healthcare policies and procedures.
Problem Resolution:

Address patient concerns or issues promptly and escalate complex matters to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in healthcare administration is a plus.
Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar customer service role.
Familiarity with medical terminology and basic knowledge of insurance procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.


Working Conditions: This is a full-time position based in Pompano Beach, FL.
