Outside A&D Sales Manager for Buena Tile and Stone

Buena Tile and Stone is a tile business with three showrooms - Agoura, Santa Barbara, and our headquarters in Ventura. We have sourced and provided tile for large contract hospitality jobs throughout the US and Caribbean. Some of our recent contract projects in the area include the Hotel Californian in Santa Barbara, the San Buena Hotel in Ventura, and the Sands Hotel in Indian Wells. We are a leader in our industry, partnering with top designers, architects, and builders to deliver the most outstanding hard surfaces in their product category.
We are looking for a new outside sales and territory manager to join our growing team. This is a new, full-tile position based out of our Agoura Showroom. Salary is DOE with a healthy base, bonuses, benefits, PTO, and, 401k match. We are looking for a candidate who has a passion for interior design and building materials and can sell primarily to trade customers (architects, builders, developers etc.) both inside and outside of the showroom. We have an established book of business that you would call on. You would be required to generate new leads as well by calling on prospective A&D clients.
The ideal candidate will have:
5+ years of retail sales, luxury, interior design or customer service experience. Tile and Stone and interior design sales is a major plus.
A passion for interior design and a knowledge and appreciation of the top designers in the LA area.
An outgoing, positive attitude.
A self starter mentality as this position has a lot of autonomy to create your own full time schedule.
Excellent written English communication skills.
Computer savvy with an ability to learn new software.
An understanding of design and color and willingness to learn our extensive product offerings.
A drive to partner with LA designers to make their vision come to life using our products.
An understanding of Instagram and an ability to use the platform to connect with designers and consistently keep in contact with them.
