Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain all mechanical aspects of the injection molding operation and assembly automation.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment required for the processesrelated to automation and molding.
  • Set up and operate machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure proper operation of equipment.
  • Handle assigned preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain building and grounds as required.
  • Determine causes of technical issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage spare parts inventory.
  • Document quality system work.
  • Improve efficiency and quality standards individually and as part of a team.
  • Assist in finding and implementing corrective actions from customerrejections.
  • Communicate with other employees on updated equipment status.
  • Accommodate a flexible schedule when needed.

Maintenance Technician Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of five years combined experience with plastic injection molding.
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Possess good communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to attend PLC troubleshooting training as needed.
  • Familiarity with automated assembly and sonic welding preferred.
  • Experience with tool and die is beneficial.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Walk and stand for long periods of time.
