Hiring an experienced Diesel Tech to fill the 11am to 9pm shift.  Must have a CDL Class B.

 

 

 

I. Job Summary
Under general supervision mechanics/ diesel technicians will perform preventive maintenance services and inspect, diagnose and repair vehicles and equipment for Leck Waste Services company fleet.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Works under limited supervision and be able to perform from written instructions and established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks on vehicles.  Performs and completes repairs, signs in and out of work order and completes assigned preventive maintenance services.
Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
Understands and uses vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs as needed.
Estimates time and material costs on vehicle repairs and requisitions new parts.
Performs all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns as soon as possible to assist downed drivers.
Conducts a thorough safety check on vehicles.
Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
Assists senior Mechanics in the completion of project work.
Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job as a Leck Waste Service Mechanic/ Diesel Technician.

Experience: Two (2) years of relevant work experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

- Valid Commercial driver’s license Class B with and must have a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid and updated Medical Card.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.                                                                                                                                                 - ----- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening, a physical, and a background check, which will include previous employment check,

Criminal history and motor vehicle record review.
