Reports to Administrative Manager
Laundry Attendant Position: 10 am to 2 pm
Keep laundry in process throughout the shift. Keep all workspace clean and organized.
· Create a positive work environment by communicating daily with each member of the team before, during and at the completion of each day’s shift.
· · Hours: Works primarily 10 am to 2 pm, weekdays, and weekends.
Responsibilities:
· Work well with others in team and individual settings.
· Manage daily laundry to replenish stock and fill shelves. Report any product shortages to Revenue Manager to maintain smooth function of laundry.
- Train and learn efficiently how to fold all laundry and to create sheet packs for housekeepers to use
- Store properly all linen on shelves and on carts for use by staff.
· Inspect and set aside stained laundry for extra treatment in wash cycle.
- Sort, Treat and wash stained laundry each shift. Inspect after wash cycle all stained laundry to ensure stains are removed. Do not dry in stains are not clear.
· Check and clean dryer lint traps each shift.
· Report any equipment or room malfunction to Maintenance or Assistant Manager each day/week as needed.
· Understand proper safety and fire procedures and what steps to take in the event of a fire or power outage emergency.
· Strictly adhere to rules regarding health and safety including any company-related practices.
Requirements:
· Work weekdays or weekends as needed, parttime.
· Understand and facilitate laundry process.
· Reliable: Work independently from other team members and prioritize overnight work routine to accomplish best results.
· Must wear work uniform and nametag provided by company.
· High standard of excellence in all areas of cleaning quality.
· Must be awake and alert throughout the entire shift.
· Ability to speak and understand the English language.
· High school degree and ability to learn and train in a multitasking and computer related environment. Outgoing and customer relational personality.
