Business Development Representative

Summary:
The Business Development Representative is responsible for generating new business opportunities by creating, qualifying and prospecting leads through a persistent process of engagement with potential customers.
Responsibilities:
Include but not limited to the following:
- Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements.
- Discovers and explores potential business opportunities.
- Research and identify new business opportunities- including new markets, growth areas, and trends.
- Explore new ways of reaching existing markets.
- Seek out the appropriate contacts within an organization using social media, websites, etc.
- Generate leads and cold call prospective customers via phone, e-mail and social media.
- Follow up with potential customers via telephone or correspondence as frequently as necessary to meet and surpass sales goals for the company.
- Communicate with current and potential customers and contacts using posts, newsletters, links on websites and social media accounts.
- Understand the needs of potential customers.
- Have a basic understanding of our products and services.
- Maintains, updates, and organizes files on all assigned customers.
- Manages activity within our CRM / ERP System (NetSuite).
- Attend seminars, conferences, trade shows and events where appropriate.
- Keep abreast of trends and changes in the industrial manufacturing segment.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and cooperate with others.
- Must be organized, motivated, and a self-starter.
- Must have the ability to work in an environment where frequent interruptions may occur.
- Must not become frustrated over words and phrases such as No, Not interested, not at this time.

From our fully equipped Service Facility in Youngsville, NC, we offer repair of pneumatic, DC electric, and battery tools. We also provide torque certification services utilizing equipment traceable to NIST standards.
