Commercial Second Pressmen

We are looking for a qualified sheet-fed feeder. The primary function is to keep the presses running at all times. This individual must have a high attention to detail and possess the trait of being organized and able to follow a systematic method of performing a task. This position is a full-time position and has the potential for a long-term opportunity.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Capable of identifying all grades of commercial sheet stock coated and uncoated.
- Stack and load press with correct stock required.
- Assist operator with quality control checks.
- Pull press sheets during run.
- Verify color consistency.
- Cut and/or fold the press sheets to verify it matches bindery sample in ticket.
- Create a mockup for booklets and verify pagination
- Offload skids when time allows
- Remove finished goods from press line and deliver to appropriate department
- Day shift feeder is responsible for tracking and updating daily paper inventory utilizing Excel work sheet
- Employee must have the ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task and question/escalate inconsistencies as needed
- Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively and proactively with coworkers and all departments to meet the organization’s objectives
- Assist operator with wash ups and cleaning press.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Understand and able to make appropriate adjustments
- Mathematical skills required
- Must have documented commercial feeder experience
- Available to work weekends and overtime as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience preferred with Mitsi 40" 6C with AQ coater, Komori 40" 5C with AQ coater, Komori 29" 6C with AQ coater.
· High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
Pay:
$18.00 to $19.00/ hour
Employment will be conditioned upon passing a drug screen and background check
