JOB PURPOSE

The primary objective of the Human Resources Clerk is for clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources Department. Successful candidates will be fluent in both English and Spanish, have 1 to 2 years previous HR Clerk experience using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for spreadsheet, reporting, and presentation development, with  knowledge and understanding of HR Law, FMLA, Employee Benefits, Onboarding and SOP's. Must be highly organized and possess the ability to work with honor and confidentiality. Cannot be related to any other employee of the Casino.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Type and word-process various documents and electronic information;
  • Manage, organize, and update relevant data using database applications;
  • Provide prompt, friendly service to all internal and external guests;
  • Assist applicants and employees with proper paperwork completion;
  • Assist recruiter with the new hire process and paperwork completion;
  • Coordinate and notify management of annual review due dates, complete necessary PAF’s to process same;
  • Coordinate selection and ordering of all new hire supplies, including t-shirts and cups;
  • Assist with the coordination of all employee events;
  • Coordinate benefit meetings, distribute and collect benefit enrollment documentation, submit to appropriate WTOK department and answer employee benefit questions;
  • Coordinate workers’ compensation claims with appropriate WTOK department for processing;
  • Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health, safety, and quality management;
  • Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1 to 2 years previous experience in HR preferred
  • Use of all Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for spreadsheet, reporting, and presentation development
  • Ability to have a flexible schedule to provide for Casino requirements
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a high stress/profile environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of employment and medical files.

LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS

  • Ability to prepare, read, and interpret documents; write reports and correspondence; and speak and communicate effectively with individuals and before groups of people
  • Ability to compose grammatically correct documents
  • Ability to verbally communicate using appropriate English and Spanish standards of language

LICENSING

Must be able to qualify for any and all licenses or permits required by local, State, Federal and/or Wyandotte Nation law
