Job Description
Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President of Human Resources will work as part of the executive leadership team and will plan, control and direct all aspects of human resources. The VPHR will partner closely with the CEO, COO and CFO to acquire, develop and engage the capabilities, leadership and talent to support the execution of the company's strategy. As a member of the executive team, the VPHR will actively participate and collaborate on the strategic direction and key business decisions of the organization.

Specifically, the VPHR will:

  • Build a strong understanding of the organization's operations, values and culture to effectively provide HR leadership in a manner that drives organizational effectiveness and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Develop strong lines of communication and trust across the organization with specific emphasis on developing effective relationships across the HR function, business leaders and employees.
  • Build processes and capabilities to acquire, develop and retain superior talent, including manpower planning, overall talent management and succession planning.
  • Ensure effective leadership and employee development through coaching, mentoring, performance management, training and researching human resource issues, contributing information analysis and recommendations to organizational strategic thinking and direction.
  • Partner with employees to ensure organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.
  • Support and coach business leaders through various change management activities and initiatives, including conflict resolution, employee coaching and performance management, team building, and problem solving.
  • Oversee, administer and further develop all HR policies, employee benefit programs, job description development and maintenance, employee handbook, onboarding, training and ongoing employee relations.
  • Continuously refine the company's organizational framework and structure that identifies key positions, division of duties, responsibilities and accountabilities of all employees.
  • Design and continually assess the Company's total rewards philosophy and programs, ensuring that market competitive programs are in place and aligned with business objectives, balancing the needs of the employees with the financial performance of the company.
  • Develop and align company policies across the organization that will serve as both the foundation and best practice requirements for all existing and newly formed subsidiaries.
  • Support, advise and oversee the Human Resource Business Partners and the business unit leaders of all subsidiaries.
  • Continue to develop and manage a global and efficient documents and records systems.
  • Ensure that HR processes, systems and technology are current, relative, efficient and effective, and aligned with the company strategy, providing reliable and timely data analysis to support key management decisions.
  • Develop an effective and positive employee relations approach that includes timely and appropriate communications to all employees.
  • Bring HR best practices and drive continuous improvement at all times that meet the unique needs of the Company.
  • Serve as a spokesperson for the company on human resource and talent management issues. The successful candidate must be both a company and employee advocate, staying close to the employee base while keeping the best interests of the company in mind at all times.
  • Be aware of evolving global government influences on management policies, processes and practices, and work to ensure that the company is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations concerning employment practices, employee health and safety, and labor regulations.
  • Develop and execute a global communications and corporate image strategy which includes employee communications and engagement, press relations, corporate philanthropy, crisis communications, and community affairs.
    • Manage appropriate external partners/resources in support or organizational requirements and needs.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
The new VPHR will be a seasoned leader with demonstrated experience in partnering with a top company executives to attract, motivate and retain a high performing executive team. He/she must be a team player with broad-based business acumen, strategic insight and sound judgment, along with proven in-depth executive experience in Human Resources. The individual we seek will also possess the following:
  • 15 + years of experience providing global human resources leadership.
  • Highly developed influencing, communication, and listening skills with the presence, experience, and gravitas to effectively represent the Company to a variety of audiences.
  • Previous experience within an organization that has developed and maintained a strong focus on operational performance, continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Experience serving as a confidant across all facets of human capital and communications to support defined business objectives.
  • Innate willingness to respectfully challenge point-of-views when necessary and offer alternative, constructive suggestions.
  • A track record of change management, including helping a CEO transform a company's culture, workforce and human resource programs and initiatives.
  • A track record of attracting, mentoring, developing, and growing the overall leadership team of an organization.
  • It is important that the individual selected has a "nose for talent," able to recognize the potential of individuals.
  • Ability to manage and lead HR, communications and safety for a workforce that spans across multiple geographies.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity working with different cultures to ensure corporate policies and guidelines are consistently implemented around the country.
  • Functional expertise leading a team responsible for organization design, change management, compensation and benefits (including executive compensation), employee relations, recruitment and staffing, training, and leadership/management development.
  • Experience with due diligence and acquisition integration.
  • Unquestionable business ethics, personal integrity, and a genuine commitment to the Company's values


EDUCATION
An undergraduate degree is required. A Master's degree in business or human resources is highly desired.
