Estimator Position Overview:

The Estimator is responsible for generating quotations for custom manufacturing projects by analyzing engineering design plans and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and scale 2D/3D drawings based on project requirements.
  • Communicate with vendors for updated material pricing.
  • Utilize quotation tools and software.
  • Collaborate with sales, project management, and production teams.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
Job Requirements:

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting 2D/3D drawings, business correspondence, and RFQs.
  • Ability to present information and respond to pricing inquiries from the management and sales teams.
  • Problem-solving skills in non-standardized situations, with the ability to interpret various instructions.
  • Knowledge of structural design and steel pricing is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or at least 2 years of relevant experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
