Requirements:
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. The Patient Care Coordinator will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service to our patients and their families. This position involves handling front desk operations, scheduling appointments, coordinating patient intake, and ensuring a smooth administrative process. Attention to detail is paramount for success in these roles. While prior medical experience is preferred, it's not mandatory.
Responsibilities:
Greet patients and families with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
Excellent communication skills with patients/staff
Manage phone calls, emails, and inquiries from patients and referring providers.
Educates the patient regarding insurance benefits and payment options
Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient records in our electronic health record (EHR) system.
Use google calendar, sheets, docs and files for daily workflow and administrative tasks
Verify insurance coverage and assist patients with insurance-related inquiries.
Collect and process patient payments, including copays and outstanding balances.
Coordinate patient intake and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area, therapy spaces and waiting room.
Assist therapists with administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Associate degree or higher
Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred, but not mandatory.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Compassionate and patient-oriented attitude.
Competitive compensation based on experience.
