AS a leader in the powder metallurgy industry, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic team. The Material Handler will be responsible for managing, moving, and tracking materials throughout the production process to ensure efficient and continuous workflow. This role is critical in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring that all materials are available, stored, and handled in compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Material Handling: Safely move, load, and unload raw materials, components, and finished products within the facility using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.

  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, perform regular cycle counts, and report any discrepancies to the Inventory Control Supervisor.

  • Quality Assurance: Inspect materials for defects, damage, or contamination prior to delivery to production areas, ensuring compliance with quality standards.

  • Documentation: Accurately record material movements, inventory adjustments, and other relevant data in the company’s inventory management system.

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the safe operation of material handling equipment.

  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that materials are properly stored and accessible.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2+ years Warehouse experience as a Material Handler, preferably in a manufacturing or powder metallurgy environment.

  • Skills: Proficient in operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs.) regularly, and to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.

  • Certifications: Forklift certification is a plus.
