Restaurant Front of House Shift Lead

Hawkers Shift Leaders play both a Leadership and Operational assistance role in our stores and in this position hold additional responsibilities beyond their typical FOH and FOH tasks.? This role supervises team members and oversees guest service and all operational functions in the absence of store management. The Shift Leader understands the processes of opening and closing the store.? They can follow all policies and procedures while also coaching and motivating the team when the leader is off the floor or unavailable.
- Supervise team members to complete tasks and achieve goals in the absence of store management.
- Proficient at all FOH positions and adheres to all guidelines.
- Ensures FOH Team has all needed supplies for openings.
- Understands and executes inventory practices and procedures.
- Supports staff on Ecosure standards. Ecosure Master.
- Manage FOH standards by coaching team members, monitor productivity, and addressing guest concerns.
- Lead all Pre-Shift meetings and ensure team self-check-ins are done.
- Manages FOH Training Team: Scheduling, Breaks, etc.
- Open and close the store following proper procedures documented in the opening and closing checklist.
- Execute POS Supervisor responsibilities such as discounts, comps, and clocking procedures.
- Monitor all health and safety standards by checking bar and server areas for proper labeling and cleanliness.
- Remain current on all company policies and ensures that all policies, standards, and procedures are maintained and followed in a consistent manner.
- Be a team player, supporting team members at every opportunity; lead by example.
- Stay current and up to date on all store systems.
- Other duties may be assigned as the need arises.
- Must have or be willing to obtain Food Handlers Certification and understand and follow OSHA and HACCP compliance standards.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Requirements:
- Understand our concept, culture, and food. Subject Matter Expert.
- Development Path: Serve as in-store Trainer and NRO Trainer, and/or display growth potential for a leadership role.
- Proficient in all Hawkers processes.
- Have no disciplinary actions for the last 6 months (internal candidates).
- Cross-trained in all positions.
- Passed all tests with a 90% or higher.
- Can give written and spoken direction in English.
- Proficient with computer programs such as Word, Excel, etc.
Experience:
- Supervisory experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated competency in current role.
- Proven ability to motivate and lead diverse teams.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards.
- Solid communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Scheduling flexibility is required.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to frequently stand, walk, bend, squat and reach above shoulder level.
- Must be comfortable working in an environment with exposure to extreme cold/hot temperatures.
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 40 lbs.
