Black Creek Integrated Systems Corp. is a global security systems provider located in Irondale, Alabama.  Our Real Time Location Systems (RTLS) group is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of integrated RTLS solutions for improving security, safety, and detainee well-being.

We are currently seeking a qualified Project Manager with the ability to oversee projects, both small- and large-scale, from point of contract award to final acceptance by customer, in a multiple project environment. This position reports directly to the President.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Liaise with customers, owner representatives, contractors, and subcontractors
  • Develop and manage project schedules
  • Track and report on project milestones
  • Manage project safety
  • Manage subcontract work
  • Track material procurement
  • Track scope changes and change orders. Prepare quotations for changes
  • Travel to jobsites when necessary for onsite meetings and overall project review
  • Maintain good documentation control on project documents and correspondence
  • Provide quality control/assurance oversight
  • Related work as required

Qualifications

  • Must be an articulate professional with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with managers, peers, customers, contractors, and consultants
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications including Project
  • Must have good organizational skills
  • Maintain a clear background and driving record

Education and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management role.
  • Experience with hardware and software solutions preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk for at least 50% of the time.
  • Be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access office equipment and other resources.
  • Be able to operate a computer and related software for a prolonged period, and use office productivity equipment, such as a calculator, copier, and printer.
  • Be able to engage in repetitive motions, such as typing and using a mouse.
  • Be able to communicate effectively, conveying information and ideas clearly so others can understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these interactions.
  • Be able to observe details at close range, e.g. computer screens and printed documents.
  • Be able to travel as needed to job sites.
