What You’ll Do: As our TOM, you'll be the go-to guru for all things transportation. From pricing and billing to dispatching and customer relations, you’ll oversee the full spectrum of our petroleum distribution. Your leadership will guide our Distribution Support team to new heights, ensuring that our operations run like a well-oiled machine.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Mastermind:
- Lead and execute strategic initiatives that keep us ahead of the curve.
- Maintain a polished, professional team ready to tackle daily challenges.
- Oversee daily dispatch activities, from order prep to driver communications.
- Collaborate with our top brass to craft and implement game-changing initiatives.
Leadership & Training Pro:
- Recruit, train, and mentor our next generation of Distribution Support Specialists.
- Supervise and support your team, helping them grow and succeed.
- Develop forecasts and supply plans, making sure we’re always one step ahead.
- Build strong, flexible relationships with suppliers that keep us in the game.
- Safety All things inclusive of safety standards and compliance.
Customer Relations Champion:
- Be the voice of NECO, communicating clearly with customers, vendors, and management.
- Ensure timely, accurate invoicing and pricing to keep our profits soaring.
- Manage reports on everything from accounts receivable to customer volumes—because knowledge is power
- Provide on-call support that goes above and beyond, even after hours.
What You’ll Bring to the Table:
Skills, Traits & Competencies:
- Tech-savvy with a knack for reports, documentation, and all things Microsoft Office.
- A master multitasker who thrives in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communicator, both in writing and in person.
- Highly organized, with top-notch planning abilities.
- A secret-keeper who handles confidential info with care.
- Expertise in DOT, regulatory and legal operations in all markets Safety
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent logistics leadership experience.
At least 10 years of hands-on experience in a high-demand, fast-paced logistics/trucking company.
Thorough knowledge of federal and state regulations pertaining to the commercial trucking industry, including hazardous materials transport.
Ability to work independently from headquarters with a clear understanding of company strategy and goals.
Proven ability to lead and manage a team towards goal achievement.
Strong prioritization, multitasking, time management, and organizational skills in a high-pressure environment.
Valid Driver’s License, Class A strongly preferred.
