Our 503B FDA-registered outsourcing facility located in Irving, TX is looking for a motivated individual with keen attention to detail to join our shipping department full-time. This person’s primary responsibility will be managing product returns and waste, as well as and assisting the shipping department as needed. The hours for this position are M-F, 9 am – 6 pm, with occasional over-time.

Job Description:

Shipping Clerk Responsibilities:

· Boxing medications and orders- in a safe, secure manner

· Boxing/prep marketing materials

· Properly shipping medication (refrigerated, fragile, etc.)

· Generate shipping labels- Fedex/LSO/Pack N Mail/Courier

· Generate invoices or receipts as needed for patients

· Maintain and file shipping records

· Follow up with patient if shipping and/or billing information is incorrect

· Organize and maintain a clean shipping area

· Communicate errors and suggestions to improve shipping function to pharmacy management

· Shipping Room inventory management-envelopes, seasonal items, boxes, cartons

· Distribute deliveries to the appropriate departments in the pharmacy

· Maintain excellent communication skills

· Remain well organized- Focus on task-oriented details.

· All other duties as assigned

 

Professional Development:

· Responds to management questions, comments and concerns in a timely manner and ensures that any special circumstances are communicated and addressed in a proactive and positive manner

 

Customer Service:

· Field phone calls from patients, nurses, physicians and other healthcare professionals

 

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or GED required

Scope: Respects and maintains the confidentiality of information. Adheres to all policies, procedures, compliance, and HIPAA guidelines. Works with minimal direction, consults with leadership as needed

Experience: Previous healthcare shipping preferred, exceptional verbal and written communication

Skills: Demonstrate problem-solving aptitude necessary; ability to work independently and as a part of a team, organized
