Our client in the aviation and aerospace component manufacturing industry is urgently seeking a Payroll Coordinator who will be responsible for the following:
Required Duties:
- Assist with weekly payroll input managed by central payroll
- Timekeeping maintenance and collection
- Prepare and process garnishments
- Provide support to employees regarding any payroll inquiries
- Prepare overtime reports and monthly payroll reports
- Support external and internal audits
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related duties, as needed
Field of Study/Area of Experience:
- 3-5 Years of experience in related experience and/or training: equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, including: Simple formula usage (e.g., SUM, AVERAGE) and Advanced formula usage (e.g., VLOOKUP), Pivot table creation and manipulation, Data sorting and filtering, Cell formatting and basic functions
- Basic proficiency in other MS products, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail
- Pleasant personality and ability to interact with all levels of personnel
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Conscientious, organized and meticulous - records must be accurate and maintained
- Read and understand internal procedures and policies
- Understand and follow through on both verbal and written instructions
- Capable of diplomatically interacting with difficult and sensitive personnel situations using good judgment and negotiating skills.
- Strong problem resolution skills and ability to assess when an issue must be escalated to the next level.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
Education Level:
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
