Our client, a small construction firm on the North Shore of Massachusetts, is hiring a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage large commercial construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, exceptional leadership abilities, and a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resources, and risk management strategies.

  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the construction process, from pre-construction through project closeout.

  • Lead and manage a diverse team of construction professionals, including subcontractors, suppliers, and onsite personnel

  • Monitor project budgets and financial performance, implementing cost-control measures to ensure projects remain within budget.

  • Prepare and present regular financial and progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant codes, regulations, and quality standards.

  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality, addressing any issues promptly to maintain project standards

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and concerns throughout the project lifecycle

  • Implement and enforce comprehensive safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all project personnel.

  • Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to promote a culture of safety on the job site.

  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.

  • Proactively address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on large commercial projects.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects from start to finish, delivering on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools, such as MS Project, Procore, or similar platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, and regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
