Responsibilities:

● Assist Director of Food Safety/Plant Manager to ensure Food Safety and HACCP compliance is implemented in all aspects of the plant i.e., Harvest Floor, Fabrication Floor and Packaging Room and the principles behind Food Safety and HACCP are used daily by all employees in the three departments, including being always in proper uniform, hard hats and always following all GMP’s.

● Have a positive attitude that improves the organization and is aligned with the organization's values.

● Assist in overseeing all day-to-day Food Safety operations on the Harvest Floor, Fabrication Floor and Packaging Room.

● Performs daily food safety temperature checks and quality checks during processing

● Performs QA checks for accuracy and percent yields prior to product is invoicing.

● Pulls necessary samples for testing.

● Works with Director of Food Safety/Plant Manager to perform routine audits to ensure Food Safety compliance.

● Ensures all USDA-FSIS logs are maintained daily and assigned to the proper employees.

● Ensures timely, accurate and daily Food Safety paperwork.

● Work with all managers and employees to conduct routine Food Safety training.

● Follows tasks until tasks are completed for the day.

● Stays on the floor during USDA inspection times and monitor and document all CCP checks

Qualifications:

● Must lead with confidence.

● Makes quick decisions in the best interest of Food Safety

● Strong attention to detail

● Strong ethical leadership abilities

● Excellent communicator

● Bilingual is a plus.
