Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Industrial Pipe Fitter Foreman to lead and supervise pipe fitting operations on a plant project in Reidsville, NC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial pipe fitting, with proven leadership skills to manage and direct a team of pipe fitters, ensuring that all work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. This position is a 6-month project-based role, with work scheduled Monday through Thursday, 10-hour shifts, starting mid-August.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervision & Leadership:
- Oversee and coordinate the work of pipe fitters, ensuring efficient and safe execution of tasks.
- Provide direction and guidance to the team, ensuring that all work complies with project specifications, codes, and safety standards.
- Conduct daily briefings and safety meetings, addressing any concerns and planning for the day’s activities.
- Project Management:
- Develop and manage daily and weekly work schedules, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure seamless project progression.
- Monitor the progress of the project, identifying and addressing any potential delays or issues.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily logs, timesheets, and material usage reports.
- Ensure that all tools, equipment, and materials are properly maintained and used efficiently.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure that all team members adhere to company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and immediately address any hazards or non-compliance issues.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members, promoting a culture of safety and professionalism.
- Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the pipe fitting crew and project management.
- Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
- Address any issues or concerns from the team or management promptly and professionally.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial pipe fitting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
- Extensive knowledge of industrial pipe systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in an industrial setting.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a team and coordinate with other trades.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including heights, confined spaces, and varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment as required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and work on your feet for extended periods.
