Overview:

Join our team as a manager at Cali Cafe, a coffee shop that is bustling 365 days a year, known for our commitment to quality and community. Here you will craft and serve delicious beverages, acai bowls, smoothies & much more to our lovely customers.

Hourly wage: $19/hr + tip earnings

  • In addition to hourly wage, benefit from a share of daily tips, which significantly boost our baristas earnings.

Job Description:

We are seeking a manager who is dedicated to overseeing the daily operations, manage staff schedules, ensure product quality, and maintain excellent customer service. Our ideal manager would be responsible for maintaining inventory, training staff, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Develop weekly staff schedules, handle time-off request, and manage a team of baristas to ensure smooth operation

  • Oversee daily operations, including the opening and closing procedures.

  • Inventory management and placing order as supply demands.

  • Handle customer service issues and maintain high standards of cafe cleanliness and organization.

  • Engage in regular communication with the owner and provide updates on cafe operations.

  • Conduct interviews and provide training for new baristas.

  • Handle transactions using a point-of-sale (POS) system.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a long term barista, a supervisor, or manager in the coffee industry.

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a diverse team.

  • A manager who is able to work in a fast paced environment, even under pressure.

  • Ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.

  • Must have a reliable source of transportation to and from the cafe.

  • Must be tech-savvy and comfortable using various software and digital tools.

  • Experience with managing online delivery platforms such as DoorDash and Uber Eats.

Hours of operation:

Monday - Saturday: 5am-9pm

Sunday: 6am-7pm
