POSITION DETAILS
GTN Technical Staffing is seeking a Sr. Meraki Network Engineer - IoT for an on-site, 1099 role in downtown Seattle. To be considered, candidates must be able to work on a 1099 basis. The Senior Network Engineer will be focused on managing the design and ops of IoT networks. This role will be focused on configurations, support and troubleshooting, and candidates should possess server admin skills in order to manage virtualization environments.  Candidates will need to have senior-level experience supporting networking gear such as Meraki firewalls and switches, including but not limited to: Meraki MX95 firewall, 2 MS225 and 2 MS120 switches, 9800 Cisco WLC, and 13 Cisco 9166 AP’s.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot wireless, security, switching, and other various network-related issues
  • Collaborate with other support team members to fix network outages, misconfigurations, and complex networking issues on customers' devices.
  • Work with engineering and management to diagnose and resolve critical, escalated issues.
  • Stay up to date on Meraki features and technology

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience in the following skill sets..

  • Network Engineering - Design / Support / Configuration of Cisco and Meraki switches
    • *Must be able to provide expert-level troubleshooting for complex network issues across Meraki hardware and software*
    • Meraki Firewalls - Configuration / Troubleshooting / Support
  • Experience supporting or testing LANs, VLANs, WLANs, VPNs, NAT devices, &/or DHCP servers
  • Networking protocols including TCP, STP, ARP, Ethernet, OSPF, IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, etc.
  • Security and Compliance - Implement and manage security policies and practices across the Meraki infrastructure.
    • Implementation and management of the latest security protocols, including WPA3 and 802.1X
  • VMware - Configuration / Troubleshooting / Support 
  • IoT Design / Troubleshooting / Configuration / Support 

PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED

  • Networking certifications a plus: CCNA, CCNP, CWNA, etc.
