IT Technical Support Specialist

·         Work with senior management, technical and client teams in order to determine data requirements, business data implementation approaches, best practices for advanced data manipulation, storage and analysis strategies

·         Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions

·         Design, implement, automate and maintain large scale enterprise data ETL processes

·         Modify existing databases and database management systems and/or direct programmers and analysts to make changes

·         Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications

 

Typical Day in role:

·         Performing health checks, checking screens and doing walks and making sure that the IT systems are healthy and running correctly, from there they have a ticket system that they all monitor, working on tickets that come in through that system, break fix type tickets, another section of the ticket system where people can request new PC or printers, different types of task where you could be configuring something new or fixing something existing.  Radio support, carry Motorola radios and respond to any calls that come in.  The radio support calls are usually more time critical

·         Number of tickets every day – volume varies and the complexity varies, so cannot provide a specific number

·         Interaction level with the team – day shift, 1-2 other IT team members they will work with, they will help train this contractor, a lot of interaction with different levels of people may be working with someone on the assembly line or helping the plant manager and people in between

 

Top 3 skills:

·         Experience with various types of IT hardware (they do a lot of phones, tablets, radios, scanners, printers, PC)

·         Experience with Microsoft Operating Systems

·         Working well with others/in a team environment

 

Requirements:

·         Degree – Bachelor’s Degree or tech school type of degree is required

·         Any experience working with PC’s and printers and technology

·         At least 2-3 years of experience

·         Android and Apple operating system experience are a nice to have
