Service Technician


Position Overview: The Service Technician at B&D Resources is instrumental in rebuilding heavy hydraulic equipment and systems. This role is primarily based in our warehouse, with approximately 80% of the time spent at our headquarters located in Castle Rock, Colorado and 20% traveling to customer locations typically in the midwest. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and keen attention to detail.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide service primarily from the warehouse, with occasional field visits.
  • Manage in-house repairs, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing tasks, and machine repairs.
  • Diagnose errors and mechanical problems, determining proper solutions.
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports.
  • Document processes and procedures.
  • Follow all company procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with the technical team and share information across the organization.


Key Qualifications:
  • Proven service experience in a technical or warehouse environment.
  • Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and Hydraulic fields.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
  • Proficiency in English and computer applications.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, including weekends.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to multitask, communicate clearly, and execute tasks efficiently.
  • Highly motivated self-starter able to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Prior experience in the food and packaging industry is advantageous.
  • COVID-19 vaccination required.


Education & Experience:


  • 5+ years of service experience in a technical or related field.


Soft Skills:


  • Organized, attentive to detail, and highly accurate.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Knowledge and understanding of computer applications.


Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, push, or pull on a regular basis.
  • Ability to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, and carry objects.
  • Ability to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
  • Ability to reach above shoulder height and below the waist frequently.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, or bend occasionally.
