The Billing Manager will be responsible for overseeing all billing and collections activities within the company. The Billing Manager will work closely with the finance and project management teams to ensure the financial health of the company.

This position will initially be in-office with some remote opportunities available after the completion of the training period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire billing process, including the generation, review, and submission of invoices.
- Ensure all billing is completed accurately and on time, adhering to company policies and contractual requirements.
- Oversee the collections process, ensuring timely payments from clients and resolving any payment issues.
- Prepare and submit draw requests to governmental entities, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements.
- Work closely with the finance team to reconcile accounts receivable and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve billing and collections efficiency.
- Investigate unbilled projects and work with operations to understand billing delays.
- Maintain detailed records of all billing and collections activities.
- Provide regular reports on billing and collections performance to senior management.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in billing and collections, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proven experience managing a high volume of billing in a company with similar revenue.
- Familiarity with submitting draws to governmental entities and understanding of relevant regulations.
- High IT literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Adobe products.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an office environment.
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in residential construction billing and collections.
- Knowledge of government contracting and compliance requirements.
- Certification in Billing or Collections Management.
