SUMMARY OF POSITION

The #IAMLeasingProfessional is responsible for guaranteeing resident satisfaction while simultaneously achieving leasing, retention, and occupancy objectives for the community. Possessing strong communication skills is essential, and the ability to think creatively sets our leasing professionals apart. They have the knack for cultivating enduring relationships and are adept at providing unparalleled customer service. By understanding and anticipating the needs of both potential and existing residents, they consistently create exceptional living experiences at #IAM communities.

#IAMKEYRESPONSIBILITIES

  1. #IAMFAIRHOUSING: Conduct all business in accordance with Optimum policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other Federal and State laws.
  2. #IAMRESIDENTSERVICES: Manage the leasing process from tour to move-in including closing the sale, completing lease documents, and inspecting units to ensure an #IAM “move-in experience”.
  3. #IAMRESIDENTENHANCEMENT: Showcase the value of the community features as they relate to the prospect’s needs.
  4. #IAMCOMMUNITYSTAKEHOLDER: Use a stakeholder focused attitude year-round to ensure a smooth renewal process for existing residents.
  5. #IAMMARKETINGOBJECTIVES: Utilize and establish creative marketing and social media strategies to increase property traffic.
  6. #IAMCOMMUNITYSUPPORT: Support occupancy and retention goals by following up with potential and current residents.
  7. #IAMPROBLEMSOLVER: Use problem solving skills and best judgment to handle unpredictable situations as they arise.
  8. #IAMCOMMUNITYKNOWLEDGE: Maintain accurate and in-depth knowledge of the community and competitors in the industry to give potential residents all the information they need to make their decision.
  9. #IAMRESIDENTCONSCIOUS: Promote positive resident relations through courteous and timely response to resident needs and concerns.
  10. #IAMOPERATIONSFOCUSED: Demonstrate strong attention to detail while preparing lease documents, resident files, applications for approval and related bookkeeping tasks.
  11. #IAMTEAMPLAYER: Collaborate with team members to plan and organize resident events.

#IAMREQUIREMENTS FOR LEASING PROFESSIONAL

  • High school diploma or equivalent, some college-level education preferred.
  • 1+ years in a sales-oriented role and/or 6+ months of on-site leasing experience or a combination  of customer service and sales experience and education preferred.
  • Possesses superior sales ability.
  • Computer proficiency, including MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • AppFolio experience preferred, not required.
