Job DescriptionJob Description

Komline-FluidQuip is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various engineering projects from conception to completion including coordinating technical estimating, quoting and pricing activities for new Rotary Drum Vacuum Filter equipment and aftermarket products serving the corn wet milling, ethanol, and energy industries. In this wide-ranging impactful and visible role, the successful candidate will also help drive business development for Komline-Sanderson and Fluid-Quip by collaborating with team members, customers, and stakeholders.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Carry-out analytical design studies and specify system components for Rotary Drum Vacuum Filter equipment.
  • Work with internal and external resources to prepare all technical requirements in all aspects of the project, including P&IDs, equipment layouts, and equipment specification for purchase and communication with the client.
  • Develop project schedules and coordinate with the client’s engineer and contractor ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  • Track and control project progress and costs and make adjustments as necessary to ensure goals are met.
  • Interface with vendors (write specs, issue inquiry, review bids, develop customer submittals) to select the most cost-effective components.
  • Work with the client’s contractor or internal personnel to arrange commissioning of equipment in the field.
  • This position will require domestic and international travel estimated at 15%.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Process, or Chemical Engineering preferred)
  • Five+ years work experience in Sales Engineering, and or Process / Project Engineering with significant customer experience.
  • Desire to be a part of an entrepreneurial, energetic team and handle a wide range of responsibilities
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Communicating effectively with people at all levels inside and outside Komline-FluidQuip is critical to success in the role.
  • Highly organized and able to work within rigid time constraints with a superb attention to detail.
  • Fluent in utilizing 2D and 3D CAD systems, Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems.
